At risk young people
Are you a parent, carer, teacher, youth or social worker?
Do you work with young people who are at risk or vulnerable?
Does your young person have an interest in street dance classes?
We offer a youth street dance program which promote personal and social development, team building, leadership and creates new experiences for young people aged 8 to 19 years old who are at risk of offending or socially excluded.
Our aim is to engage and inspire each young person to take part in the street dance and its culture so that they can keep away from the streets and bad influences, while creating a new hobby or vocation which could allow them to use their dance skills to express themselves and to build their confidence doing something that they like. They will also develop a talent or passion with the help of key role models and mentors which will gradually help them come back to social inclusion.
We are open to referrals from local councils, school teachers, youth and social workers as well as parents and carers. We will do our best for those classes to be funded, however, if enable to secure funding we may charge participants referees.
The location of our classes will depend on the local area demand.
