SEND / Accessibility Policy
Up Side Down Dance Academy (USDD Academy) · operated by USDD Networks · info@usddnetworks.co.uk
Purpose
To ensure USDD activities are accessible to dancers with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and to those with broader accessibility requirements.
Our Approach
- Registration forms invite parents/guardians/participants to share SEND, accessibility and medical information confidentially.
- Teachers adapt class structure, pace and language to meet individual needs while maintaining a strong creative experience.
- Where appropriate and possible, support workers are welcomed to attend sessions alongside the participant.
- Venues are selected with accessibility in mind; alternatives offered where a venue does not meet a participant's needs.
Reasonable Adjustments
We make reasonable adjustments in line with the Equality Act 2010. Where we are unable to meet a specific need, we will be transparent and signpost to alternatives wherever possible.
Working in Partnership
We work in partnership with parents/guardians and, where relevant, schools and support services to plan and review adjustments.
