Purpose
To set out the standards of behaviour expected from students and participants at every USDD class, workshop, event and performance.
Expectations
- Respect teachers, other students and the venue.
- Arrive on time, in suitable clothing and ready to train.
- Listen attentively, follow instructions and try your best.
- Encourage and support fellow dancers — no bullying, mocking or exclusion.
- Use appropriate language at all times. No discriminatory, sexual or violent language.
- Look after personal belongings; valuables are brought at your own risk.
- Do not bring or use prohibited items including weapons, drugs, alcohol or vapes.
Battles, Cyphers & Showcases
Competitive formats are spaces for creativity and respect. Trash-talk or physical aggression toward opponents, judges or audience will result in immediate disqualification.
Consequences
Minor breaches result in a verbal warning. Repeated or serious breaches may result in temporary or permanent exclusion. Parents/guardians of under-18s will always be informed.

This policy is owned by USDD Networks (the legal entity operating Up Side Down Dance Academy (USDD Academy)) and reviewed at least annually, or sooner if legislation, statutory guidance or organisational structure changes. Reviewed annually · Last review: May 2026.
